This Collider event was a kickoff for the Southwest Ohio Regional Makerspace Alliance.  There is a tremendous surge in interest in makerspaces in this region. We would like to identify all of the organizations with capability to join in an alliance to amplify their reach into the surrounding region.  The Wright Brothers Institute is developing an Innovation Gym to assist the Air Force Research Laboratory personnel to bring their ideas and research into useful products.  The goal is to not duplicate but connect to the capability that already exists or is being developed in the region.

What People are Saying About This Collider

It was interesting to learn about the different focuses of the various makerspaces in the area and to learn that there was not too much duplication of effort. However, there does not seem to be much available if you are immediately outside of Dayton or Cincy.Survey Respondent
Well organized and thought out. It was a VERY mixed bag of interests and goals. Overall a good start.Survey Respondent
Interesting to know what others were up to and make them aware of what we do.Survey Respondent
